The University of Houston (UH) is a public research university located in Houston, Texas. As with previous responses, please note that my knowledge is current up to September 2021, and some information may have changed since then.
1. History: The University of Houston was founded in 1927 as Houston Junior College. In 1934, the institution became a four-year university and adopted the name University of Houston. UH has grown significantly since its founding and is now the flagship institution of the University of Houston System.
